LAKER AIRWAYS

Do you recognise any of the flight attendants, or other staff shown here that I cannot remember the names of? I would surely like to know, & welcome hearing from you.

I worked at Lakers from 1972 to when I emigrated to Canada in 1977. I look back on those years with many fond memories, as I worked with some great people, & believe it or not, had some fun along the way. I am still in contact with a few through work, & pleasure. In fact today, Lorrie & I had a great meal at the 8 Bells in Bolney with Dave York. I talk to Chris Crees on occasions through business, & purhasing manager Brian Wheelhouse I often see in town. I have spoken to Dave Newman, but not since GB Airways was sold. I have also spoken to Noel Cummins after I returned to the UK in 2001, but he seems to have disappeared! Greg Dix from ops I have chatted to via email many times in the past year or more, but as for the others; nothing :( If you're out there, & read this, do please get in touch.

Due to me always carrying a camera to work [hobby of photographing aircraft] I was often tasked in taking various pix; just wish I had held more back for myself, & future memories, but of course we never thought we would have a need back then... I think I spent a lot of time with flight crew & got to know many well, where the pix were used for training [Cliff Byway] & publicity [Robin Flood], but always making sure I cleared it with Brian Wheelhouse first. Several flights were undertaken for inflight services for training; & those few I had extras of, were kept, & are shown in this album. Enjoy!
