| FIELD AVIAITON
I started work at Field Aviation in early 1991. I was approached by Richard McMechan going in to work [working part time at Air Ontario] one morning & he asked if i was interested in a buyer’s job at Fields; naturally I accepted. I knew Richard from my Wardair days, & it was great to get full time work again. I eventually worked a very enjoyable 10 years until the decision was made to go home. While at Fields I met, and worked with some great people, I am still in contact with a few today. Field East as we called it, worked on many interesting projects during my tenure, and I have put together this smattering of pix in a way of a tribute to all that I worked with. While I took pix of many projects and fellow employees, many of these were passed along. With the Avitat being sold, Field Aviation was no longer an FBO, but was now well known for its specialist business of repair, modification & conversion work. November 1993 |
